Last week we serviced one of our high-performance microscopes at the University of Bristol and what a year it’s had! Over the past 12 months, this microscope has captured an incredible 386,779 frames over 250 samples, playing a crucial role at the National Nuclear User Facility (NNUF) in imaging materials essential to the nuclear industry.
From high-temperature glass corrosion to real-time uranium corrosion—and even spent nuclear fuel—this powerhouse of an instrument has helped researchers unlock critical insights. The data it provides supports both safe nuclear waste management and the development of next-generation nuclear technologies, strengthening the UK’s energy security.
We’re incredibly proud to see our technology making a difference!
